How to set FOV in Le Mans Ultimate
- Measure from your eyes to the centre of your screen, in your driving position.
- Enter your screen and distance above. LMU only takes whole numbers, so the calculator rounds for you.
- In LMU go to Settings → Graphics and scroll to Visuals.
- Set Vertical FOV to the number from the calculator. The range is 10 to 100. "Default" is 49.
If the calculator shows a warning, your result is outside LMU's range. That happens with a small screen far away. Moving closer is the fix that keeps the view at real scale.
LMU triple screen setup
Switch the calculator to Triple and add your bezel width. The result card then lists the five values LMU's triple screen tool needs, in metres, so 727 mm shows as 0.727.
- Close LMU. In
Le Mans Ultimate/UserData/Config_DX11.iniset windowed mode with borderless off, and set the custom resolution to three screens wide (for example 7680 × 1440 for three 1440p screens). - In Settings → Graphics, set Window Mode to Windowed, pick the custom resolution and turn on Multiview. Without Multiview the side screens look stretched.
- Bind a key to Triple Screen Config in Settings → Controls → Interaction → Hardware, then open the tool on track.
- Enter w, h, eye, gap and ang from the calculator on Main first, then on Left and Right.
Guides differ on whether w and h mean the picture or the whole monitor. We give the picture size. Check the result with a straight line such as the pit wall: it should run unbroken across the bezels.
Seat position is separate
Moving the seat changes where the camera sits, not the field of view. Bind seat controls in Settings → Controls → Camera and line up the virtual wheel with your real one after setting FOV.
LMU FOV FAQ

What is the default FOV in Le Mans Ultimate?
The Default option equals 49 degrees vertical. It is a general guess, not based on your screen.
What is the FOV range in LMU?
10 to 100, in whole numbers.
Does the same value work in rFactor 2?
rFactor 2 also uses vertical FOV, so the calculated value is the right starting point. Select rFactor 2 in the calculator to check.
