Setting FOV in Assetto Corsa on a single screen

  1. Sit in your driving position and measure from your eyes to the centre of the screen.
  2. Enter your screen size, aspect ratio and distance above. The big number is your vertical FOV.
  3. Enter it as the FOV in Assetto Corsa's video settings. If you use Content Manager, the setting is in its Assetto Corsa video options.
  4. On track, adjust your seat position so the virtual wheel lines up with your real one. Seat position and FOV are separate settings.

Ultrawide users: choose 21:9 or 32:9 and your curve rating. The value is still vertical and is measured at the centre of the screen.

Assetto Corsa on triple screens

In triple-screen mode, Assetto Corsa calculates FOV itself and greys out the normal FOV setting. Instead of a number, you give the game your screen size and distance:

  1. Enable triple screen mode in the launcher's video settings.
  2. On track, open the Triple Screen app from the app bar on the right side of the screen. It only appears when triple screen mode is on.
  3. Enter your screen size and your distance to the centre screen. Switch the calculator above to Triple to see the vertical FOV the app should arrive at, and the angle to set your side screens to.

To see more of the track in triple mode, reduce the distance or increase the screen size in the app, or physically move closer.

Why Assetto Corsa numbers look small

Assetto Corsa uses vertical FOV, the height of the view. iRacing uses horizontal FOV, the width. On a 27-inch 16:9 screen at 60 cm the two are about 31° and 53°, describing the same view. ACC uses vertical FOV too, so you can use the same number in both Assetto games. See the ACC FOV calculator.

Assetto Corsa FOV FAQ

Is Assetto Corsa FOV vertical or horizontal?

Vertical. Assetto Corsa and ACC both use the vertical angle in degrees.

Why is the FOV setting greyed out in triple screen mode?

In triple screen mode the game computes FOV from the screen size and distance you enter in the Triple Screen app on track, so the manual setting is disabled.

Can I use the same FOV in Assetto Corsa and ACC?

Yes. Both use vertical FOV, so the value from this calculator works in both.

Does the calculator work for Assetto Corsa EVO?

Players report that AC EVO also uses vertical FOV. It is in early access, so we mark it as community-reported. Select AC EVO in the calculator and check the view on track.
