How to set FOV in ACC

  1. Measure from between your eyes to the centre of your screen, sitting in your driving position.
  2. Enter your screen size, aspect ratio and distance in the calculator above. The big number is your ACC FOV.
  3. Go on track, pause, open the pause menu and choose View Settings.
  4. Set FOV to the number from the calculator.

You can also bind keys to raise and lower FOV on track in ACC's controls, which helps if you want to compare small changes while driving.

ACC uses vertical FOV

ACC describes your view by its height, not its width. A 27-inch 16:9 screen at 60 cm covers about 31° vertically and about 53° horizontally. If you copy an iRacing value into ACC, the view will be far too wide, which is why ACC numbers look small next to iRacing ones.

Assetto Corsa uses vertical FOV too, so the same value works in both games. See the Assetto Corsa FOV calculator for the original game's triple screen app.

ACC on triple screens

ACC uses the same vertical FOV whether you run one screen or three. Measure a single screen, not the whole set, and enter that screen's size in the calculator. Switch the calculator to Triple to also get your side screen angle.

  • Set up the wide resolution first, either with NVIDIA Surround or AMD Eyefinity, and correct the bezels there.
  • In ACC's video settings, choose the triple screen option instead of single screen, so the game renders the side views at an angle.
  • Position the side screens at the angle from the calculator so each one faces your eyes.

ACC FOV FAQ

Is ACC FOV vertical or horizontal?

Vertical. ACC, like the original Assetto Corsa, uses the vertical angle in degrees.

Where is the FOV setting in ACC?

On track, pause and open View Settings from the pause menu. The FOV slider is there.

Do I need a different FOV for triple screens in ACC?

No. ACC uses the same vertical FOV for single and triple setups. Measure one screen and use the calculator's value.

Do I need to set FOV in VR?

No. In VR, ACC sets the field of view from the headset automatically.

Why does the correct ACC FOV look zoomed in?

The default view is wider than your screen can show at real scale. At the correct value the car and track appear life-size for your screen. It usually feels normal after a few sessions.
